A New Addition... (HELP!)

It was just another normal day of training. I was wiped out as usual...

And then...it appeared.

Tada!

Colette: Hey look! A skitty! Penelope, go!

Me:...

Colette: Come on! Go use scratch!

Me: ...Fine...

*Claws come out. Goes over to use scratch*

Skitty: Ahhh!!!! No!!!!! Please don't hurt me!!!!

Me: ...

Skitty:

Me: ...Alright! Fine! But my trainer wants to catch you...

Skitty: WHAT?!! Your trainer wants to catch...ME?!!!!!

Me: ... Yeah... So what's your move?

Skitty: OMG I'M SO HAPPY!!!!! I'm going to be a TRAINED POKEMON!!!!

Me: ... *Sweat drop*

Skitty: *Gasp* I'm going to go on adventures! And make a bajillion friends! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Put me in a pokeball right now!!!! Please?

Me:... *to Colette* Throw the pokeball.

*Colette throws the pokeball. Skitty stays inside.*

Colette: I caught a skitty! YAY!

*Picks me up and hugs me*

Colette: You did it Penelope! Let's take her out and meet her!

*Colette throws pokeball. Skitty comes out*

Skitty: Wheeee! This is the best day of my life!!!

*Skitty hugs Colette.*

Colette: Awww... you're so sweet. I'm going to call you... Callie!

Skitty: OMG! I have a pokemon nickname! I'm Callie!!!!

Me: ...Hooray...

*Callie jumps down a hugs me*

Callie: We're going to be the bestiest BFFs in all of the BFF pokemon universe!!!

Me: ...

Callie: So what's your pokemon nickname?

Me: ...Penelope...

Callie: That's so kawaii! OMG, you can even make a nickname of your nickname! You can be Penny! Or...PEPE!

Me: You mean like piss?

Callie: No silly, Pepe is so ca-yute! I'm going to call you Pepe-chan!

Me:

Colette: Comeon guys! Let's go back to the motel.

Callie: Yay!

Me: Help.

Training!

Psyiyi! Training is rough! My head hurts. Colette and I are currently staying in Rustboro city. There's a large lake just south of the city that Colette has me swim in. I swam, like, 4 laps today! And my head hurts. It's okay though, cuz after training Colette took me to get some mint chocolate chip ice cream, my favorite. And, later today, Colette and I have an idea to turn our hotel room into a tropical paradise! Colette is going to change into her bathing suit and fill a little kiddie pool for me to splash around in. Then, she's going to spray this "Bahamas Breeze" air freshener all around the room. Percy brought it back for her from his trip in Celadon City a little while ago. Next, we're going to turn on some relaxing island music and seashore wave sounds. I wish Colette had some more Pokemon, that way we could share this experience with some more friends! Psyiyi! My head hurts.

How I Received Penelope

You see, I didn't get Penelope, my psyduck, best friend, and first and only pokemon like a regular trainer does: through their local pokemon professor. Instead my older brother, Percy captured her for me when I was younger. He used to volunteer at the nearby safari zone. He said he was cleaning out some of the feeders when Penelope caught his eye. He tells me that she had a certain quality that reminded him of me so he used his swellow to capture her and bring her home to me. Penelope and I instantly became best friends. Percy always dreamed to become "the best pokemon trainer!" but I never really thought I would follow in his path. He left home a few months ago to follow his dream and now I miss him dearly. Penelope and other pokemon have piqued my interest, and travelling the world has always seemed intriguing to me. So while I might not become the next champion at the pokemon leagues, I have just begun my journey to travel and learn more about pokemon to satiate my curiosity. Who knows, maybe instead of a trainer I'll change my mind and become a professor or a pokemon doctor? Anyway, I intend to maintain this blog to record my adventures and to give my pokemon a place to share their stories and feelings (while I translate of course)! Please enjoy!
