How I Received Penelope

You see, I didn't get Penelope, my psyduck, best friend, and first and only pokemon like a regular trainer does: through their local pokemon professor. Instead my older brother, Percy captured her for me when I was younger. He used to volunteer at the nearby safari zone. He said he was cleaning out some of the feeders when Penelope caught his eye. He tells me that she had a certain quality that reminded him of me so he used his swellow to capture her and bring her home to me. Penelope and I instantly became best friends. Percy always dreamed to become "the best pokemon trainer!" but I never really thought I would follow in his path. He left home a few months ago to follow his dream and now I miss him dearly. Penelope and other pokemon have piqued my interest, and travelling the world has always seemed intriguing to me. So while I might not become the next champion at the pokemon leagues, I have just begun my journey to travel and learn more about pokemon to satiate my curiosity. Who knows, maybe instead of a trainer I'll change my mind and become a professor or a pokemon doctor? Anyway, I intend to maintain this blog to record my adventures and to give my pokemon a place to share their stories and feelings (while I translate of course)! Please enjoy!
